Chair of trustees – Craig Durham
Craig is presently Managing Director at SecurePlay Ltd as well as Commercial Director at Serendipity EMS. He worked at a senior level at IBM for 10 years and also at NVT. Craig was introduced to the charity by Dominic O’Reilly. Craig and his team have created a unique, and cost-effective software package which can be customised and is a game of skill. It can be used to raise funds for the benefit of small organisations such as football clubs and charities.
Ron started working with British Rail as a signalling and telecommunications engineer and left BR to start his own specialist electrical contractor’s business. He opened cafe bar restaurants in Glasgow, Dundee & St Andrews. He started a home improvements business which was bought out by the Breaburn group. He built a mobile phone business that became the second largest independent network provider in the Scotland. He also invested in an innovative Internet& Email filter that was designed to protect school children online. The filters were also used by Grampian police and the NHS in Glasgow. Sixteen years ago along with some family members he purchased 50% of Ayr Racecourse, which was Scotland’s only Premier Racecourse. The old members clubhouse was extended and converted to a4 star hotel. He identified massive ticket fraud, this led to us developing a management systemand anti fraud ticketing solution. The product is currently used by 54%of all UK horse races, as well as some Greyhound tracks and football clubs.
Bob is the UK, Ireland and Iceland Country Manager – Forever Living. He is a network marketing and direct sales specialist. He has spent 35 years in the direct sales industry as a business owner and trainer. Over the past 3 years, Bob and his wife Nicola have attended a number of charity events and have been major supporters of the charity. Forever Living have made Dot Com their Charity in 2016 and the Challenge 1000 has raised an amazing£50,000 in the past year.
Malcolm is a personal tax advisor and has run his own business for the last 22 years. He specialises in foreign nationals living and working in the UK and, in particular, US citizens as is qualified to prepare US tax declarations. He is the deputy chairman of the Association of Independent Expatriate Tax Practitioners (“AIETP”) which is an organisation of around 75 members formed to be a representative body with both US and UK tax authorities. He sits, on behalf of AIETP, on the High Net Worth Unit of HMRC as many of my clients are wealthy senior management or entrepreneurs.
Marc is the CEO of Silxo Ltd. This is a niche consultancy specialising in the CTO area enabling businesses to get the most from their investment in Technology and related products. Among Marc’s customers are Fujitsu, Dell, A J Gallaghers, BP and UK Government, as well as a number of early stage tech start-ups. Prior to creating Silxo, Marc was Global CTO at both Fujitsu and CSC. Marc is acknowledged leader in service transformation, product development and management change.
